HISTORY

RIBA Sri Lanka, a Chapter of the RIBA institute of architects, was initiated in 2015, inaugurated in 2017, and registered in 2018, to serve the professional interests of the growing number of RIBA member architects practicing in Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

The Chapter has been set up to assist RIBA to deliver in Sri Lanka the mission to advance architecture, provide support to members of RIBA in Sri Lanka retain their engagement with RIBA and achieve valuable knowledge exchange especially in sustainable design.

RIBA Sri Lanka also supports Sri Lankan Architects to achieve RIBA membership. Furthermore, it gurantees that members receive support in maintaining RIBA’s reputation for the skills of an architect and high professional standards, ensuring professional needs of Sri Lankan members of RIBA are met and retained in membership.
